Small Space, Big Creativity——A Brand-New Playground Design for Zhonghua Elementary School

At Zhonghua Elementary School, North District, Taichung City, the Starlight Tai playground team embraced the challenge of working within a highly limited space, delivering a playground design full of creativity and adventure.By breaking away from conventional thinking, we skillfully introduced a two-level structure and a hexagonal core, opening up a world of limitless possibilities for children to explore and enjoy.
 

• Breaking spatial limits: Within a limited footprint, we applied innovative design approaches to successfully a second-level play area, allowing children to explore vertically and discover fun in depth—making the most of every inch of space.
• Hexagonal core design: Moving beyond a single, linear structure, the hexagonal form offers multiple connection points, enriching the playground’s layout and interaction patterns. It brings together climbing, balance, and cooperative play into one integrated experience—enhancing overall play diversity.
• A professional team, striving for excellence: With outstanding design and meticulous craftsmanship, Starlight Tai ensures every detail meets the highest standards of safety and enjoyment—so children can grow through challenge and thrive through play.

This design project at Zhonghua Elementary School not only showcases our boundless creativity within limited space, but also serves as an ideal platform for children’s creative inspiration and self-challenge.Looking ahead, Starlight Tai will continue to collaborate with more partners to push spatial boundaries and more playground environments that balance challenge and joy—supporting and safeguarding every child’s dreams.
